FAQ
Questions brokers ask about AXSentinel
MT5 connection, access rights, A-book/B-book, toxic flow, LP hedging, security and pricing — answered plainly.
What is AXSentinel?
AXSentinel is forex broker risk management software from AXFintech. It connects to your MT5 server and liquidity providers, shows live A-book/B-book exposure, scores every client for toxic flow, runs your own rules, and — with approval — acts on MT5 and hedges at the LP. We call it a risk autopilot: detect, decide, act, prove.
Which trading platforms are supported?
MetaTrader 5 today, through the MT5 Manager API. Other platforms such as cTrader and Match-Trader are on the roadmap and coming; we will not claim support before it ships.
Do I need to install a plugin on my MT5 server?
No. AXSentinel connects through the MT5 Manager API using a manager login, so it works as an MT5 manager plugin alternative without installing anything on the server. You provide host, port and the manager credentials.
What access does AXSentinel need?
A dedicated read-only manager login is enough for exposure, client risk scores, rules, alerts and reports. Actions such as moving groups, changing leverage, disabling trading or closing positions require dealer rights, which you grant only when you are ready.
How does A-book / B-book management work?
You map your MT5 groups to A-book, B-book or hybrid. AXSentinel then splits exposure and P&L by book, and rules can propose moving an account between A-book and B-book groups — in suggest, needs-approval or auto mode.
How is toxic flow detected?
Every account gets a 0–100 risk score with the reasons behind it: toxic and latency-arbitrage trades, HFT share, scalping, win rate, hold time, martingale, news trading, cross-account hedging, same-IP rings and bonus abuse.
Can AXSentinel act automatically?
Only if you choose. Each rule runs in suggest, needs-approval or auto mode. Maker-checker means the person who proposes an action cannot approve it, and rate limits, a kill switch and dry-run apply to all automated actions.
How do LP hedging and the LP hub work?
Today LPs connect as MT5 coverage accounts. AXSentinel syncs LP positions and deals, matches them to client trades, and measures coverage, markup and fill quality per LP. The hedge engine enforces per-symbol net exposure limits by suggesting or auto-sending hedge orders. Direct FIX connectivity to LPs is on the roadmap.
Can I test a rule before it goes live?
Yes. Any rule can be backtested on the past 30 days of your data before you save it, so you see which accounts it would have matched and how often it would have fired.
How are my MT5 credentials protected?
Manager credentials are encrypted before they are stored and used only by the connector. The hosted connector uses fixed IPs you can allow-list, access is role-based, and every action is written to an immutable audit trail. An on-prem agent that keeps credentials inside your network is coming.
Where do alerts go?
Into a prioritised in-app inbox with cases you can assign, note, escalate and resolve — and out to email, Telegram, Slack or a webhook. A daily brief can go to Telegram or email each morning.
How much does AXSentinel cost?
Pricing is on request. It depends on the number of MT5 servers and accounts and the modules you need. Book a demo and we will quote for your setup.
Is AXFintech a broker?
No. AXFintech is a technology provider, registered in Cyprus with operations in Dubai. AXSentinel is software brokers use to manage their own risk; AXFintech does not deal, hold client funds or give investment advice.
